About this object
A photograph of badly damaged buildings in Wairoa following the Hawke's Bay earthquake of 3 February 1931. The street is possibly Marine Parade. A boy on a bicycle is visible at the right hand corner of the image. Painted signage for a tea room is visible on the side of a building. There is a ladder leaning against a telephone pole in front of the buildings.
