A photograph of survivors from the top floor of Roach's department store, which collapsed during the Hawke's Bay earthquake on the 3rd of February 1931. The group of women are pictured sitting under canvases at Miss Bicknell's.

Photographer, possibly Leo White. However on the back of the photograph the name H C Newell appears.
