About this object
An image of a dog standing on the edge of Ngatapa Lake as it fills three weeks after the Hawke's Bay earthquake of February 1931. It is noted on the back of the photograph that it took 6 weeks and two days to fill the lake. The lake later went out in flood at Easter 1938.
