About this object
A photograph of an unidentified boy standing outside on a path near St Hilda's Children's Home, Otane, taken between 1919 and 1920. The child looks directly at the camera. He wears a shirt, tie and shorts. A girl is also visible at the extreme left of the image. The photograph is taken from a low height, giving the image an interesting perspective. There is a fenced bank at the right of the image with a building visible slightly above the level of the path.
The photograph is in an album containing images of the children who were living at the Anglican orphanage from 1919 to 1920.
The photograph is attributed to Miss Edith Waller who was Matron of St Hilda's at the time.
