About this object
View of the library at the McLean family residence on Napier Terrace, Napier. A desk is located along one wall of the room. Other furnishings visible in the room include two upholstered chairs. The wall above the desk is hung with framed pictures. The pictures are all of Māori subjects, including a number of bust portraits. Taiaha, patu, tiki, toki kakauroa, and other Māori Taonga are also displayed on the wall. A door is visible on the left side of the room. The door is open. Bookshelves are located immediately above the door.

A note pasted onto the album page beneath the photograph reads: Library showing old Māori Tahias etc.
