About this object
A photograph of the Nurses' Home at Napier Hospital taken after the Hawke's Bay earthquake on the 3rd of February 1931. The building collapsed as a result of the quake. The man searching the rubble, wearing a white shirt with the cuffs rolled up, is John Spratt Johnstone.
