About this object
A photograph of two young children identified as Tare and Madge taken at St Hilda's Children's Home, Otane, between 1919 and 1920. Tare and Madge are holding hands and smiling. Tare wears a light coloured jersey and dark pants. Madge wears a dress with a collar and breast pocket. The children are pictured in the yard that surrounded the villa used as the children's home.

The photograph is in an album containing images of the children who were living at the Anglican orphanage from 1919 to 1920.

The photograph is attributed to Miss Edith Waller who was Matron of St Hilda's at the time.
