About this object
View of the Tūtaekurī River in Hawke's Bay. Swimwear appears to be the uniform of the Te Awa Swimming and Lifesaving Club, which moved their headquarters from the Tūtaekurī River following the 1931 earthquake.

The photograph has been taken from the banks of the river. Three women stand on the river bank. Two women and two children in bathing costumes are located to their left.
