About this object
A Tourist Series photographic postcard of Heretaunga Street in Hastings published by Frank Duncan & Company, Auckland. Among the businesses that are visible along the left side of the street are a hairdresser (possibly operated by Dick Austen), Baird's Drapery, and the New Zealand HB Clothing Factory. On the opposite side of the street, Allan and Harris Ltd (furnishers) and The Club Tea Rooms stand on the corner of Heretaunga Street and Railway Road. Jones Cycles can be seen further along the street. The railway line can be seen in the foreground of the photograph.
