Heretaunga Street and Railway Road intersect in the foreground. At the left is the Hastings Hotel. Roach's department store can be seen further down the block. At the right is Williams and Kettle. Photograph is circa 1908.
A message to Mrs Thomas from an unidentified source has been handwritten on the back of the postcard.
