About this object
A photograph of a group of men loading wool bales on a boat in the shallows of a beach at Kawakawa. In the left hand foreground a group of men are preparing the next bale to be taken into the shallows. Several men steady the boat with ropes in the water. The wool would then be transferred to a ship waiting off the coast.
