Brief Description
The Studio: An Illustrated Magazine of Fine and Applied Art, volume 73, number 300, was published on 15 March 1918 and edited by Charles Holme. The magazine contains numerous advertisements for galleries, manufacturers, art supplies and art schools, as well as illustrated articles, exhibition and book reviews. A number of pages are missing from this magazine, including three of four colour supplements and the entire section of sketches by Lieutenant H W Mann.

The Contents include: The Oil Paintings of Henri Harpignies, an article by E G Halton including thirteen illustrations; Leaves from the Sketch-Book of Lieutenant H W Mann, R F A, seven illustrations; A Few Words on the Death of Rodin, an article by Gabriel Mouray including five illustrations; Recent Paintings by Walter Bayes, A R W S, an article by Charles Marriott including four illustrations; Studio-Talk, a section devoted to exhibition reviews from correspondents in London and Edinburgh; Reviews; The Lay Figure: On the Artist as a War Historian.
