Brief Description
a) The Studio: An Illustrated Magazine of Fine and Applied Art, volume 72, number 298, was published on 15 January 1918 and edited by Charles Holme. The magazine contains numerous advertisements for galleries, manufacturers, art supplies and art schools, as well as illustrated articles, exhibition and book reviews. A number of pages are missing from this magazine, including four of five colour supplements.

The Contents include: Paul and Thomas Sandby, an article by Frank Gibson including fifteen illustrations; Recent Decorative Work of Frank Brangwyn, A R A, an article by Arthur Finch including six illustrations; Frank Huddlestone Potter 1845 - 1887, an article by H W Wheeler including five illustrations; Studio-Talk, a section devoted to exhibition reviews from correspondents in London, Paris and Tokyo; Reviews; The Lay Figure: On Cultivating the Faculty of Observation.
