Brief Description
The Studio: An Illustrated Magazine of Fine and Applied Art, volume 69, number 284, was published on 15 November 1916 and edited by Charles Holme. The magazine contains numerous advertisements for galleries, manufacturers, art supplies and art schools, as well as illustrated articles, exhibition and book reviews. A number of pages are missing from this magazine, including four of six colour supplements.

The Contents include: Some Notes on the Paintings of Lucien Pissarro, an article by J B Manson including nine illustrations; Arts and Crafts at the Royal Academy, a first article by W T Whitley including nineteen illustrations; The Paintings of Pilade Bertieri, an article by A L Baldry including ten illustrations; Studio-Talk, a section devoted to exhibition reviews from correspondents in London, Glasgow and Tokyo; Reviews and Notices; The Lay Figure: On Discretion in Design.
