About this object
View of damage caused by flooding, possibly during the Esk Valley floods in April 1938. The photograph has been taken in the vicinity of the Waikoau River in Hawke's Bay. A note on the back of the photograph gives the location as: Waikoau River, White Pine Bush[,] approx 100 yds Napier side of hairpin bend. A landslip dominates the foreground of the image. A man stands on the opposite side of the landslip.
