About this object
View of damage caused by flooding, possibly during the Esk Valley floods in April 1938. The photograph has been taken in the vicinity of the Waikoau River in Hawke's Bay. A note on the back of the photograph gives the location as: Waikoau River 300 yds Napier side Waikoau Bridge. The one lane road from which the photograph has been taken has been partially destroyed. The Waikoau River is visible on the extreme right.
