Brief Description
(a) The Studio: An Illustrated Magazine of Fine and Applied Art, volume 65, number 268, was published on 15 July 1915 and edited by Charles Holme. The magazine contains numerous advertisements for galleries, manufacturers, art supplies and art schools, as well as illustrated articles, and exhibition and book reviews. A number of pages are missing from this magazine including all colour supplements.

The Contents include: The Paris Salon of Fifty Years Ago, the first in a series of articles by D Croal Thomson including twenty-two illustrations; The Royal Scottish Academy Exhibition, an article by A Eddington including nine illustrations; Picturesque Kendal, an article by Arthur Tucker including eight illustrations; The Spring Exhibition of the International Society, an article including ten illustrations; Recent Designs in Domestic Architecture, eight illustrations; Studio-Talk, a section devoted to exhibition reviews from correspondents in London, Paris, Rome, Moscow and Barcelona; Reviews and Notices; The Lay Figure: On Visualised Emotions.
