About this object
View of damage caused by flooding, possibly during the Esk Valley floods in April 1938. The photograph has been taken in the vicinity of the Waikoau River in Hawke's Bay. A note on the back of the photograph gives the location as: Waikoau River, quarter of a mile Wairoa side bottom of elbow. The photograph appears to record rocks dislodged from a hillside. A post and wire fence is located on the left side of the photograph.
