Brief Description
(a) The Studio: An Illustrated Magazine of Fine and Applied Art, volume 64, number 266, was published on 15 May 1915 and edited by Charles Holme. The magazine contains numerous advertisements for galleries, manufacturers, art supplies and art schools, as well as illustrated articles, and exhibition and book reviews. A number of pages are missing from this magazine including two of four colour supplements.

The Contents include: The Edmund Davis Collection, a second article by T Martin Wood including sixteen illustrations; An English Artist's Impressions of New York, an article by William Monk, including twelve illustrations; Belgian Artists in England, a third article by Dr P Buschmann including thirteen illustrations; The Modern Development of Oil Painting in Japan, an article by Professor Jiro Harada including thirteen illustrations; Studio-Talk, a section devoted to exhibition reviews from correspondents in London, Dublin and Milan; Art School Notes: Birmingham; Reviews and Notices; The Lay Figure: On the Official Portrait.
