Photograph of the Napier to Gisborne Railway Line thought to have been taken in the aftermath of the 1938 flash flood at Kopuawhara.

The photograph shows a section of the track where the land beneath the lines has been washed away. The rails hang over the edge of the land slip. Sleepers lie on the ground beneath.
