About this object
Photograph of the entrance to tunnel number 1022 along the East Coast Railway Line, possibly taken following the Kopuawhara flash flood in 1938. Two men stand at the entrance to the tunnel. There has possibly been some land subsidence around the tunnel as damage is visible to both power pole and a fence on the hill above the tunnel entrance.

Photographer, unknown.
