Photograph of the Kuripapango Valley in Hawke's Bay.

A note on the back of the photograph states that the house that is visible among the trees on the left side of the photograph was owned by Rosy MacDonald. Other features identified include the Napier-Taihape road, which ascends the hill behind the house, and the boundary fence of the estate farm of D F Lumsden in the foreground. The mountain in the background is identified as Mount Cameron. A bit of the Kaweka Range is visible on the far right.

Rosy MacDonald’s house can be seen in the plantation on other side of the flat. Beyond the house the Napier-Taihape road can be seen ascending the foot of Gentle Anne. Large mountain in the background is Mt Cameron with a bit of the Kaweka Range in the far right near the corner. Our boundary fence (estate farm of D Lumsden) can be seen running in a straight line from centre foreground. The sheep and vegetable garden shown over on D Lumsden est farm. Hill in centre of photo belongs to Rosy MacDonald.
