Brief Description
The Studio: An Illustrated Magazine of Fine and Applied Art, volume 58, number 240, was published on 15 March 1913 and edited by Charles Holme. The magazine contains numerous advertisements for galleries, manufacturers, art supplies and art schools, as well as illustrated articles, and exhibition and book reviews. A number of pages are missing from this magazine including, it seems, all colour supplements save two and the full spread of etchings and dry-points by Albany E Howarth.

The Contents include: The Paintings of Paola Sala, an article by Selwyn Brinton including fourteen illustrations; Modern Tapestry Work in Sweden, an article by Agnes Branting including nine illustrations; The Rouart Collection: The Corots, an article by Henri Frantz including ten illustrations; Some Etchings and Dry-Points by Albany E Howarth, six illustrations; The First Exhibition of The Society of Wood-Engraving, Paris, an article by E A Taylor including seven illustrations; Studio Talk, a section devoted to exhibition reviews from correspondents in London, Vienna, Budapest, Darmstadt, Berlin, Amsterdam, Moscow, Chicago and Tokyo; Reviews and Notices; The Lay Figure: On Sectarianism in Art.
