About this object
View of Kerikeri Mission House, Kemp House, Kerikeri, possibly taken in 1914. Kerikeri Mission House was built in 1821-1822 by the London-based Church Missionary Society for the Reverend John Butler. The two-storey house is clad in weatherboard. The hipped roof is clad in corrugated iron. A timber fence runs across the photograph in front of the house.
A note on the album page reads: Mrs Kemp's House, Kerikeri. The oldest wooden home in New Zealand.
