About this object
Postcard view of Station Street [later Russell Street], Hastings. Among the businesses that are visible along the right hand side of the street are Webber's Chemist, Cassidy (land agent), Farquhar and Company (tailors), T M Robertson (confectioner), a cycle shop, and a seed depot.
The post office (opened in 1910) includes a clock tower and is located further down the street at the intersection with Queen Street. Horse drawn carts, cyclists and pedestrians occupy the street.
