Photograph entitled: Hastings showing Havelock hills.
Photograph has been taken looking along Heretaunga Street. The Albert Hotel can be seen on the corner of Karamu Road South and Heretaunga Street East. The Railway Private Hotel is also visible. The Wesleyan Methodist Church can be seen on Hastings Street and the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with the spire, is located on Heretaunga Street.
Underneath is a hand written note from Jennie to her sister Eliza which is dated 13 August 1913. Jennie records that she lives on this street and it is: straight as you can go to Havelock no turning to right or left for three miles.
