About this object
View of Petane Beach thought to have been taken during the rescue of the Boojum. A group of men has gathered on the beach. Several men are using a rope to pull a lifeboat ashore. The steamer Boojum, is visible in the background. She was shipwrecked on 11 May 1887. The ship rests on its side on the beach.
