About this object
Postcard view of Gisborne taken looking south towards Poverty Bay, possibly in the early twentieth century. The Tūranganui River and the entrance to the Taruheru River are visible at the centre of the image.

There is a note on the back of the postcard addressed to Mrs Chegwidden from her son Paul. The note is dated 24 March 1909.
