About this object
A hand coloured photograph of Mokau Falls at Lake Waikaremoana, Hawke's Bay. Part of an album of coloured scenery images.

A description of the scene has been pasted onto the album page. It reads: Lace-like beauty of nature's design. This beautiful picture depicts the fairy-like film of water known as Mokau Falls cascading down the huge papa rock facing into Lake Waikaremoana. Some idea of the immense height of these falls can be gained from the smallness of the road traffic bridge in the centre of the picture, which is completely dwarfed by the huge drop of the waterfall.
