About this object
A hand coloured photograph of a woman standing at her camping site at Lake Waikaremoana, Hawke's Bay. Part of an album of coloured scenery images.
A description of the scene has been pasted onto the album page. It reads: The ideal camp site. Snugly sheltered amid dense bush on the shores of Lake Waikaremoana, this motor camping party seems to have found the perfect spot to erect their tent. The charming young lady is admiring the view of the distant hills, and a corner of the blue waters of the lake can be seen in the top right hand corner.
Photographer, unknown.
Date, March 1938.
