About this object
A hand coloured photograph of an unidentified boy sitting on the shore of Westshore Beach, Hawke's Bay. Part of an album of coloured scenery images.
A description of the scene has been pasted onto the album page. It reads: Facing up to the problems of life. "What vocation shall I take up?" This interesting seaside study depicts a High School pupil, having sought quietude amongst the rocks of the beach, deep in thought. Possibly the subject being debated in the youthful mind was that of choosing his future career. This fine camera work was taken at Westshore Beach in January, 1938.
Photographer, unknown.
