About this object
A photograph of a steamship in Ahuriri, thought to have been taken from another vessel. There is an inscription on the back of the photograph. It notes that the vessel is probably the Ahuriri or Ngahere. Researcher Mori Flapan has confirmed that it is the Ngahere. The premises of the North British and Hawke's Bay Freezing Works Company are thought to be visible behind the vessel.
