View of the Napier Branch of the National Bank of New Zealand on the corner of Hastings Street and Emerson Street.
The photograph has been taken from Hastings Street looking towards the main entrance to the building. The branch is housed in a two storey timber building. The original design of the building has been modified, with the main entrance having been relocated to the corner of the building. An addition has also been made to the rear of the building.
A sign in the second storey window indicates that a dental surgery was located on this floor of the building. The Bank of Australasia is located to the left of the National Bank.
