View of Motuara Island in Queen Charlotte Sound otherwise known as Totaranui taken on 30 March 1902.

The photograph has been taken from the south end of the island looking roughly south east towards Long Island. A note on the album page states that the area was the site of a fortified pa that was described by Captain James Cook in his account of New Zealand.
