About this object
View of an unidentified street taken after the Hawke's Bay earthquake on 3 February 1931.
The photograph has been taken at the intersection of two streets looking towards a row of two-storey buildings. The buildings have been severely damaged in the earthquakes, with much of the brickwork on the facades having collapsed revealing the interiors beyond.
