About this object
View of the Napier-Westshore bus taken after the Hawke's Bay earthquake on 3 February 1931.
The photograph has been taken from the centre of the road, looking towards the front of the bus. A large crevasse has opened up in the ground in front of the bus. An unidentified man stands in the fissure with one arm resting on the front bumper of the bus. In the distance, telegraph or power poles can bee seen. Several of the posts have tilted. The fence along the right side of the road also appears to have suffered some damage.
Photographer, unknown.
