View of Napier taken from Bluff Hill looking south towards Awatoto.

Marine Parade is located at the centre of the photograph. Along the left side of Marine Parade are the Swan Memorial Children's Paddling Pool (opened 1918) and the Municipal Baths (opened 1909).

Among the buildings that are visible on right side of Marine Parade are Dr Walter William Moore's Upoko Poito Private Hospital (built 1919) and the Masonic Hotel. The Clive Flood Memorial is visible on the corner of Marine Parade and Byron Street.

The foot of Coote Road can be seen in the foreground.
