The postcard is addressed: Mrs Hardy-Gibson, Mr C Gibberd, Hallenstein Bros, Gisborne, Poverty Bay. The message suggests to the recipients that they do not need to hurry home. The sender's initials are indecipherable. The card has a New Zealand one penny stamp and is date stamped in Napier on 17 May 1907.
