View of the Hastings Street Depot, Napier. The depot was established at Hastings Street School after the Hawke's Bay earthquake on 3 February 1931.

A noticeboard stands in the foreground. The noticeboard identifies those members of the public who qualified for meals. There is also an advertisement for two experienced cooks. A timber fence is located to the left of the noticeboard. Bicycles are parked along the fence line. A pile of timber is located in the distance.
