About this object
View of damage to the Port Ahuriri railway line caused by the Hawke's Bay earthquake on 3 February 1931.

The lines have suffered significant horizontal movement, causing the tracks to buckle. The road to the right of the railway line has also been damaged, with large cracks in the tar seal. A hill is located on the right side of the road. Land slips have occurred along the side of the hill.
