Tennyson Street is visible in the foreground. The Municipal Theatre is visible along Tennyson Street on the left side of the photograph. Buildings along Emerson Street and Dickens Street can also be seen. In the centre of the photo is a large canvas tent, possibly a circus tent. On the right side of the photograph, Clive Square, the Trinity Methodist Church, and St Patrick's Church are visible. Cape Kidnappers is visible in the distance.
