About this object
View of three men clearing up the ruins of the Tribune office in Hastings in the aftermath of the Hawke's Bay earthquake on 3 February 1931.

The building was severely damaged in the earthquake. A pile of bricks and pieces of concrete masonry is located in the foreground of the image. One of the men holds on to the remains of a timber framed wall. A large piece of machinery, possibly the printing press, sits amid the rubble.
