About this object
View of Taradale Road taken following the Hawke's Bay earthquake on 3 February 1931. Large crevasses have been made in the road surface as a result of the earthquake. Two motor vehicles can been seen trapped in these crevasses. The fence and the power or telegraph poles that are located on the left side of the road also show signs of damage.

The date 17 February 1931 is stamped on the back of the photograph.
