Brief Description
A Native Land Court partition order regarding the Mangatoro Block No. 2 with Judge L O'Brien presiding, Benjamin Frederick James Edwards as assessor and dated 2 November 1891.
Order is regarding the partition of the Mangatoro Block which is held under a Crown Grant dated 22 June 1868.
The order states that the thirteen Māori individuals named in the provision are the rightful owners of the Block, now re-named Mangatoro number 2. Names of individuals and acres of interest are recorded for a total of 13,044 acres.
The first 10 names listed are:
1) Ahitaua Nopera
2) Eperata Whaitiri
3) Ahitaua Whaitiri
4) Arapera Waipau
5) Ereata Nopera
6) Topi Te Kuru
7) Hoani Te Kuru
8) Heni Whanau
9) Harata Te Kuru
10) Hinerapa Te Kuru
11) Otene Pomare Tangowhiti
12) Morehu Tuehu Pomare
13) Bank of New Zealand Assets Company Limited as having acquired the interest of Arapeta Meha as successor
