Brief Description
A Native Land Court partition order regarding the Mangatoro Block with Judge L O'Brien presiding, Benjamin Frederick James Edwards as assessor and dated 2 November 1891.
Order is regarding the partition of the Mangatoro Block No. 1 which is held under a Crown Grant dated 22 June 1868.
The order states that the nine Māori individuals named in the provision are the rightful owners of the Block, now re-named Mangatoro number 1. Names of individuals and acres of interest are recorded for a total of 15,608 acres.
Recorded names are:
1) Maata Hoewahi for interest of Haira Tamanoho
2) Matiu Meke for interest of Winiata Himoata
3) Bank of New Zealand Assets Comp. Limited for interest of Mare Rautahi as successor to Whitimoa
4) Mare Rautahi as succesor to Whitimoa
5) Wikiruhi Rautahi as successor to Aperahama Rautahi and Whitimoa
6) Ihaka Rautahi as successor to Aperahama Rautahi
7) Eruini Rautahi as successor to Aperahama Rautahi
8) Ehetere Rautahi as successor to Aperahama Rautahi
9) Wikihuki Rautahi as successor to Aperahama Rautahi, Nopiha and Whitimoa.
