People are walking along the paved footpath. Amongst the visible buildings are the identified premises of Jolly, Connor and Company Printers, New Zealand Tabley Company, Goldstein and Moller Jewellers, E T Wood; Accountant, W G Geddes Undertaker and the Oban Hotel.

The edges of the photograph have been printed with a soft vignette.

Date unknown, thought to be 1880 - 1890s.
