A full length carte de visite portrait of an unidentified boy.

The boy stands next to a chair and holds a boater hat in his left hand that rest on the chair. Visible behind the boy is a wooden prop, possible to assist in keeping him still. There is a table to his right and the backdrop is painted to resemble a furnished room.

The child is possibly a friend or member of the Russell Duncan family.
