About this object
Dr Frederick De Lisle seated in a buggy attached to horses outside his home on Tennyson Street, Napier.

Dr De Lisle is seated in the buggy in the foreground to which two horses are attached. At the left on the pavement stands a man identified as Dr Sidey. There is a dog in the foreground and a small terrier standing under the buggy near the rear wheel. Another horse and buggy are situated behind Dr De Lisle's.

A woman stands on the verandah of the ground floor two storied house. It is noted on the back of the card that the house was built by Denty Wilson and sold to Dr De Lisle in the 1880s. It is also noted that it was built as a terrace of six houses. Several other notes on the house are also on the back of the card including that it was a boarding house until the 1931 Hawke's Bay earthquake.
