About this object
View of the Mount St Mary's Seminary for the Marist Brothers, Greenmeadows, taken in the aftermath of the Hawke's Bay earthquake on 3 February 1931.

The photograph has been taken from the side of a hill looking down on the Chapel. The roof of the building has partially collapsed. Damage to the brick walls is also visible.

A two storey building clad in weatherboard is visible to the right of the Chapel.
