About this object
A studio portrait photograph of Miss Matilda and Miss Georgina Bowman, circa 1894. Matilda is seated at the left of the image on a chair with one arm resting on the chaise lounge. Georgina is seated on the chaise lounge holding a book and leaning slightly toward her sister. Both are dressed in formal attire with their hair up. In the background a fire and mantlepiece decorated with ornaments can be seen. The photograph was possibly taken at the Bowman family home in Clive.
